Biography / Tiểu sử
Patrick Phat Bui was elected to
the City Council in 2014. Prior to joining the City Council, he served as a
Garden Grove Planning Commissioner from 2010 to 2012.
Patrick Phát Bùi đã được bầu vào Hội đồng Thành
phố vào năm 2014. Trước khi gia nhập Hội đồng Thành phố, ông là Ủy viên Kế hoạch
Garden Grove từ năm 2010 đến 2012.
In 1954, his parents and five
siblings escaped communist North Vietnam, seeking refuge in South Vietnam.
After the fall of Saigon in 1975, his family escaped communist regime, traveled
by boat and arrived in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Năm 1954, cha mẹ và năm anh chị em của ông
đã trốn thoát khỏi cộng sản Bắc Việt, tìm nơi tị nạn ở miền Nam Việt Nam. Sau
khi Sài Gòn sụp đổ năm 1975, gia đình ông đã thoát khỏi chế độ cộng sản, vượt
biển bằng thuyền rồi đến thành phố Minneapolis, thuộc tiểu bang Minnesota.
Council Member Bui attended the
University of Minnesota, triple majoring in Mathematics, Physics, and
Electrical Engineering. He founded the Vietnamese Student Choir at the
University of Minnesota, which grew to a 60 member choir in the span of three
years.
Nghị viên Bùi đã vào Đại học Minnesota, theo
ba chuyên ngành Toán học, Vật lý và Kỹ thuật Điện. Ông thành lập Dàn hợp xướng Sinh
viên Việt Nam tại Đại học Minnesota và phát triển thành một ca đoàn 60 thành
viên trong vòng ba năm.
An accomplished violinist and
choral conductor, Council Member Bui has performed at many concerts and
produced the Vietnamese Heritage Music Festival II, which attracted more than
1,000 attendees. He is the President and CEO of NetResult LLC, which provides
software solutions to help government agencies and large corporations improve
the quality and efficiency of their business in a paperless environment.
Là một nghệ sĩ vĩ cầm và nhạc trưởng dàn hợp
xướng, Nghị viên Bùi đã biểu diễn tại nhiều buổi hòa nhạc và dàn dựng Liên hoan
Âm nhạc Di sản Việt Nam II, thu hút hơn 1.000 người tham dự. Ông là Chủ tịch và
Giám đốc điều hành của NetResult LLC, chuyên cung cấp các giải pháp phần mềm để
giúp các cơ quan chính phủ và các tập đoàn lớn cải thiện chất lượng và hiệu quả
kinh doanh của họ trong môi trường không giấy.
Council Member Bui moved to
Garden Grove in 1984 and married his wife, Mai, in 1993. They reside in Garden
Grove with their son, Mach, who is a proud student at Garden Grove High School.
